How Counselling Works

When things go unresolved, anxiety, stress, depression, low mood, sadness or anger and a loss of drive and energy can set in, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, depleted and powerless.

  • I‘m an integrative therapist who believes that all people are able to change and grow.
  • The aim of therapy is to provide you with a safe and confidential space where you’ll be able to explore your feelings and thoughts at your own pace. You’ll also be able to work through any difficulties and dilemmas.
  • I won’t judge you or tell you what to do so you’ll soon start to feel able to make better decisions for yourself.
  • The aim is for you to become more balanced; mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, so that you can function at your best.

How long will you need therapy for? A lot of things can be achieved in 6 weeks. I’ll support you to focus on your more immediate needs as well as on your longer term goals.

Some people choose to stay on for longer term therapy because they find it so helpful. It’s a once a week time set aside for you, to think about what you need.
